Disabling ads

I've had Google ads running for a while, but for guests only. The main purpose was really just to encourage people to sign up. I tried to make sure they weren't too obnoxious, even though Google really pushes you to use popups and giant banner ads everywhere.
The ads were generating about $10/month but I've decided to remove them completely. I don't want people to be driven away from the site, and it's worth $10 to me if a single person decides to stay and keep reading and improves the life of a single ferret.
If any ethical ferret-related company wants to advertise in the future, then I'll be happy to partner with them, but that would be something much less intrusive, and hopefully something that people would actually want to click on!
For now, goodbye ads and good riddance!
