HMLC = High Meat, Low Carbohydrates

This food has been discontinued, but is being replaced with the "VFS POWERCAT" kibble in the near future. They've listed it on their website but have not published the ingredients and analysis yet, and it's not available for sale yet.

98% of the protein comes from animals - no artificial padding with pea protein, etc. They also state that less than 11% of the food is carbohydrates. (The meat percentage is probably in the high 70s or low 80s).

High Meat Percentage – most of the top ingredients are meat-based.
Middle Quality Meat – the meat ingredients are a mixture of pure and by-products.
High Protein-to-Fat Ratio – 2.4 to 1 (not fatty enough). Ideal ratio is 2 to 1.
Has Starches – Linked to insulinoma.
Pea-Free – Peas are linked to kidney and bladder stones.
No Sugars or Carcinogens
